Community Life
Ranchero Village bursts will activity. This might be a “retirement” community, but no one told the residents. They are up before the sun and merrily on their way to a full day of activities.
Saturday mornings at 8 a.m. finds residents filling the hall at the Hacienda Club House. This is where they gather to get the scoop on the latest happenings in the village while they sip coffee and eat donuts. Saturday morning is also a great time to meet new residents as well as get tickets for the many dances, dinners, breakfasts, plays and other gatherings.
Dances and Dinners abound all through the fall and winter season especially. If there is a holiday, there is a dance, or two. If you miss one don’t worry, you’ll get another chance soon.
There is never a dull season at Ranchero. When things “slow down” in the summer it’s just a chance to spend more time in the pool and plan for the picnics and parties that continue all season long.
Aspiring actors and actresses can take part in the annual play that is put on each year. It always packs the house for 3 nights and gets rave reviews. Don’t know which is more fun; the play itself or all the rehearsals.
The Heedless Hoarsemen is our men’s singing-plus group. The plus can keep you guessing, but we’ve heard mention of strange beings in tutus. This group performs in Ranchero as well as traveling to nursing homes and other captive audiences.
The Ranchero Chapel welcomes all with services each Sunday at 10a.m. as well as Bible studies during the week. The Ladies Circle is very active in the community and is a loving outreach.
Many of our talented residents offer to share their gifts by teaching others. The popular Water Color class is just one example, computer training is another.
Then there are the travelers. Group rates are offered by resident coordinators. Local trips as well as cruises, something for everyone!
Are you a Red Hat Lady? Sorry guys! There are several chapters here and they are always planning something.
You name it and Ranchero has it: Aerobics, Aquacise, Bingo, Bocce, Bowling, Bridge, Cards, Chorus, Court Whist, Crafts, Cribbage, Dart Baseball, Dominoes, Exercise group, Little Theatre, Men’s Club, Women’s Club, Men’s Golf League, Women’s Golf League, Shuffleboard, Table Tennis, Tennis, VFW, just to name a few. If you can’t find the club or group you want, maybe you’ll want to start one!
Welcome to beautiful Ranchero Village Co-Op in Largo, Florida a resident owned community of manufactured homes located between the Gulf of Mexico and Tampa Bay. A place that many happily call Home.
Ranchero Village is a 55+, international community of over 900 homes. Our residents represent nations from all over the world. Most have come to call this their permanent home while others join us seasonally. But no matter how long or short the stay, wonderful friendships are formed and life long bonds are made.
